Carolynne (Caro) Wilcox - Multidisciplinary Portfolio
Carolynne (Caro) Wilcox (she/they) is a bilingual, Latine theatre artist and world traveller based in Seattle, WA who has produced, performed, written and designed artwork for stage productions nationally and in the Pacific Northwest.
Recent roles include Manuel in Miss You Like Hell at Strawberry Theatre Workshop, Doña Dede in In the Time of The Butterflies at Book-It Rep (2022), Ana (understudy w/performances) in The Book Club Play at Village Theatre (2022) and Trust in Dacha Theatre’s production of An Incomplete List of All The Things I’m Going To Miss When The World is No Longer(2023) in their first musical since 2003.
They also co-wrote & co-directed (with Hannah Votel) The Boxes We’re Kept In for the Strawberry Jam Director’s Festival (StrawShop) and played Juliane Tesman in Hedda Gabler at West of Lenin. Several of their short plays were read/produced in 2023 between Drunken Owl Theatre, Pacific Play Company and As If Theatre, as well as a reading of their play, Loom in virtual reality facilitated by their former grad chair in Baltimore. Their most successful short play, Fate Demands It, received another performance in November, this time at Orpheus Theatre Company in Lancaster, PA, while their recent short Spell from the Sea will be performed in January 2024 with Drunken Owl Theatre at Jules Mae's Saloon in Georgetown (Seattle, WA), and another short, In The Mirror will be performed as part of Phoenix College's Director's Showcase in Phoenix, AZ in February 2024.
Caro holds a BFA in Theatre/Acting from United States International University in San Diego, CA, an MFA in Theatre/Original Works from Towson University in Maryland, and a certificate in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Seattle (RIP); additionally they have studied extensively at Freehold Theatre here in Seattle.
